Just like the supermarkets have their misfit veg, here at URURA, we don’t let any of our misfit shelves go to waste. As we only use reclaimed wood, there are lots of record shelves that have small inspections.
These imperfections can include knots, blade score marks, small chips and cracks in the grain. We don’t see these as unusable, we see them as having their own unique character, but as they don’t quite meet our exceptional standards for our core collection, we’re offering these shelves at a discounted price.
Please only order these shelves if you’re aware they will have some imperfections. Examples of these imperfections can be seen in the photos. Wood grain and imperfections may vary for each shelf.

These handmade Wooden record shelves are the perfect solution for turning that blank space into a vibrant collage of your favourite record collection.
I am proud to say this product is Eco friendly! All the shelves are made from reclaimed hardwood which we source ourselves and salvage from torn down homes/barns and other renovation projects. Once de-nailed and cleaned up, we carefully process the wood, plane it down, sand it back and give it a coat of natural beeswax to give it a new life where it belongs back up on the wall. These shelves are really simple to fit, simply screw to the wall And place your record on the shelf. If you find that your wall is a little uneven or your shelf is placed by a draughty door you can use the self adhesive tab at the top of your record which will ensure your record will not fall off. - DO NOT press hard on the tab as the lip is only thin an could snap. Either press at the back of the tab or simply hook it on the top of your record when your ready to install it and gently press either side of the record.

PLEASE NOTE - the groove of the shelf is 12mm wide which will fit most EPs and albums (2 records). If you would like a custom shelf making with a wider groove please just get in touch :)
Becuase I only use reclaimed wood, wood grain and colour will vary ever so slightly with each batch I make tiny blemishes may show in the grain. If you are a returning customer or looking to add more shelves to your vinyl wall please let me know and I can do my best to get a similar shade of wood to match your existing shelves.
Each shelf comes with fittings but please ensure you check the fitting is suitable for your type of wall as we cannot be held responsible if your record gets damaged due to poor installation. Please make sure you do not use a power tool or over tighten when to screwing these to the wall as it can split the wood. Please be aware that the self adhesive tab is very sticky. Be aware depending on your wall surface it may leave a mark once removed. If you are renting or do not own the property, ensure you have permission to fit things to the wall incase it may need decorating after fitting.

Love these! Beautiful wood grain and to me I loved the little bits that made it an 'imperfection'.
Bought a couple of imperfections to see what they were like. The ones that turned up had some knots on the front but I prefer this rustic character look which suits the oak beams in my home. Will be buying more! :)
